Prior to coming to 01 Advisors, David Fischer had an extraordinary career growing two of the world’s most important tech companies. He’s a veteran of Google, where he spent eight years as Google’s vice president of sales. Until that is, Facebook hired him to do the same thing.
At the time, Fischer joined when the handful of company’s 1,200 employees and $750 million in revenue. When he departed in 2021, Facebook’s revenue had exploded to more than $100 billion. This remarkable expansion cemented his vision as a strategic leader and operational guru.
Fischer’s unique vantage at both Google and Facebook at such a critical time couldn’t have been accidental. He saw, up close, how these companies went from first finding product-market fit to then turning into category leaders. David Fischer invests as second nature. He developed a taste for angel investing, and eventually joined 01 Advisors — a firm started by two of his friends. Fischer led the charge on a $20 million investment in Haus, a San Francisco–based firm last year. This investment follows a $30 million Series A round earlier this year led by Insight Partners.
