The Open Platform (TOP), a blockchain startup associated with the Telegram messaging platform, has successfully raised over $70 million across multiple funding rounds. The company, looking to bring its crypto solutions to Telegram’s 700 million users, is led by Andrew Rogozov.

Business registry records show that The Open Platform (TOP) was incorporated by Andrew Rogozov in Abu Dhabi. Rogozov acts as the company’s Founder and CEO.

The Open Platform (TOP) is leading the charge to roll crypto into the world’s most widely-used application. As stated by Telegram founder Pavel Durov, this application is having over one billion users. Earlier in 2023, Telegram adopted the TON project for its own use, causing the value of its token to explode.

During its Series A funding round, Ribbit Capital purchased roughly 4% of The Open Platform (TOP). At the same time, Pantera Capital locked up around 1%. Other early backers of the platform were Dubai investment firm Vy Capital, Dmitry Eremeev, and Kevin Hu. The most recent capital raise was around 5% of equity and had no allocations of crypto.
